Message from the Director “Bea Jackson”

Dear Friends,

Greetings and best wishes for a new school year. We look forward to serving you and your family through the many programs and services offered at Washington Street Community Center.

The Board of Directors and staff take pride in the quality of programs and services it delivers. This quality can be measured by the many meaningful partnerships and collaborations cultivated and sustained over the years. It can also be measured by feedback from parents, teachers, school administrators, and the community at large. Children who participate in our afterschool tutoring programs do well in school. It is well documented that 85% of WSCC youth who participate in CRCT study hall have passed the state mandated tests.

 Washington Street Community Center will continue to listen to the needs of the community and where possible respond with programs and services that help meet the neds of the community.

We are looking forward to the 2010-2011 school year and thank you for entrusting your children with us. We are launching new programs and expect this to be the best year ever for our children.
